Needle Felting

On Friday evening we have a craft evening. Last week we sat and did some needle felting and I made this rose.

Crochet

I taught Ellie to crochet, I made the large round doily granny "square", and Ellie has started the smaller square.

So I had to learn 2 new stitches double treble and half treble stitches ... But I'm pleased with this first square !!

Felt Flowers

These will be brooches once I've made the leaves.

Well here is a catch up with some of our Christmas crafting.

 This is a hand felted brooch I made for my best friend +Karen Hancock 

These felt owls were a kit from Hobbycraft. My mum made a pair before Christmas and glued the features on as suggested by the kit. (which was a right pain!)  so I decided to hand stitch all the pieces together.

 

These were another kit from Hobbycraft.

 

 

 

Ellie made the gingerbread man and I made the gingerbread mummy (another hobbycraft kit!)

 

 Hand felted rose brocch on my MIL birthday card.

 

  My first attempt at a shell pattern in crochet, I've turned this into a mat to go under the fruit bowl (I made a picot edge for it too!)
